At a seminar in Mumbai on the “Responsible Use of AI in Journalism,” media experts urged journalists to verify all AI-generated content before publication, warning that blind reliance on technology could harm accuracy and credibility.
Speakers noted that while AI can speed up news production, it lacks context, ethics, and accountability. They emphasized that verification and editorial judgment must remain human responsibilities.
The panel also called for stronger fact-checking, digital literacy, and AI ethics training in newsrooms. Experts concluded that the future of journalism depends on using AI wisely, transparently, and responsibly.
