The Punjab Police have launched an intensive manhunt following the kidnapping of Gurpiar Singh, a Canada-based journalist and anchor for Hamdard TV. The incident occurred around 5:15 pm on Tuesday at the Hamdard TV office in Mohali. Gurpiar Singh was allegedly abducted by two Nihang men, one of whom has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, reportedly linked to the Sikh Bandi Chudao Morcha. Multiple police teams, acting on directives from the DGP and SSP Mohali, have been mobilised and are closely examining CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts to track down the culprits.
