The integration of generative AI with meme culture has escalated digital information warfare. Political operatives are now mass-producing deepfake memes hyper-realistic but entirely fabricated images of political opponents in compromising or absurd situations. 

The Bharat Media Association warns that these AI-enhanced memes spread faster than traditional news, implanting false narratives in the public subconscious before fact-checkers can respond. Newsrooms must urgently deploy AI-detection tools to neutralize these synthetic viral threats before they permanently damage electoral integrity.
